How to Clean Your Menstrual Disc

Microwave Sterilization

1. Wash your hands and your Duo Menstrual Disc with mild soap and water.
2. Place the disc in a microwave-safe container or a separate glass container, covering it with water.
3. Microwave for approximately 3 minutes, until the water boils.
4. Once done, wash your hands, carefully remove the disc from the container, and let it cool.

Stovetop Sterilization

1. Wash your hands and your Violeta Cup Duo Disc with mild soap and water.
2. Boil the Menstrual Disc and/or Menstrual Cup for 3 minutes, avoiding containers that release metallic substances, as they may damage your Violeta Cup.
3. After boiling, wash your hands, remove the disc from the container, and allow it to cool.
4. Repeat this process at the end of each menstrual cycle and before using it again the next month.

Before Using for the First Time

Before first use, carefully read the user manual—your body deserves it! Remove the product from the packaging and boil it for up to 3 minutes using either the stovetop or microwave method described above.
